Inaugural Authors Book Fair in Deltona

Deltona, FL (July 13, 2010) –

The Deltona Regional Library’s Authors Book Fair: Celebrating Writers and Readers will take place Oct. 9, 2010, from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. in the library. The book fair, with 40 authors registered to date, will serve to bring authors and readers together in a wonderful indoor setting. Organizers are still looking for authors in the cooking, gardening, and Florida wildlife categories.

A few of our authors are already registered are;

Art Adkins, lieutenant with the Gainesville Police Dept and native Floridian whose police procedural, Oasis Project keeps you on the edge of your seat. The sequel, Power Grid is due out in September.

David Oakley, Deltona resident, recently published On the Fiery Breath of Dragons detailing a year in the life of 10 young WWII airmen.

Jeffrey Ault and Debi McNabb’s lovable children’s book characters will debut in Elliott Saves Halloween, a made for TV special airing this October.

Estelle Lipp, is author of Heartspeak – A Collection of Poetry and the chapbooks Colors and I Want to be a Candle.

Christa Carpenter, Maitland, is a mother, a teacher and author of Nicholas, That’s Ridiculous!  her first childrens picture book.

James G. Tauber recently retired from Volusia County Fire Services where he served as the Director/Fire Chief. He resides in Port Orange and Plato’ Promise – A Woodland Tale is his first novel.

Leslie C. Halpern, M.L.S., is an award-winning poet and essayist, entertainment journalist, and author of books including Passionate About Their Work, Reel Romance: The Lovers’ Guide to the 100 Best Date Movies.

Ron and Alice Howell are known for their Ormond Beach histories including children’s book Sid and Angela Undercover in Ormond Beach, Florida.
