Cooney New Deltona Attorney

In a sharp contrast to when discussing a proposed contrast for their number one selection, Ben Gross, the Deltona City Commission quickly and with nearly no discussion approved a $132,500 a year contract for Gary Cooney.  While Gross’s contract got into such discussion of minutia that Gross finally withdrew, Cooney’s was the total opposite.

Cooney who is a Florida native has been married to wife Carla since 1984 and they have three children.  A 1985 graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, Gary became a member of the Florida Bar in 1986 and has served on several Florida Bar committees as well as being active in the Lake County Bar Association.

An undergraduate of Stetson University in DeLand where he received a B.B.A. in accounting, Cooney had previously served as City Attorney for Mount Dora, Howey-in-the-Hills and Fruitland Park.
